The Trudie Throw-Free Crochet Pattern

What better way to start off a new year than with a brand new throw blanket? Wrap yourself up in love with The Trudie Throw. This beautiful throw size blanket is made using the corner to corner method and is perfect for confident beginners to intermediate crocheters. Pick your favorite Pound of Love colors and add the Trudie Throw to your home this season. The free downloadable graph pattern is available below. Or you can purchase an inexpensive PDF with graphs, written instructions and a c2c photo tutorial here.

The Trudie Throw is also available as a complete kit with Lion Brand Yarn. You’ll get all the yarn you need (in the colors of your choice) plus a digital copy of the full written pattern.

I’m not a huge Valentine’s Day fan, but when the idea for this blanket popped in my head I knew I had to get it out in the world before the big day. The Trudie Throw is like a warm hug. Using the corner to corner method creates a warm and durable throw blanket that you and your loved ones will use for years to come. The simple XO repeats create an eye catching design.

I asked for color selection help over on Instagram for this design and I love the color combo you all suggested. I used Elephant Grey and Terracotta for the perfect pop of color. The color combinations are endless, especially since Pound of Love comes in such a huge variety of colors. I think it would look great in black and white, grey and yellow or pink and red.

You can find the free graph (one full, one enlarged) of the pattern below. If you prefer written out instructions you can grab the PDF in my shop. The PDF includes a photo corner to corner tutorial, written pattern and the both graphs.

If you are new to the corner to corner method you can check out my tutorial about how to corner to corner. There is also another post dedicated just to changing colors so you know exactly how to create the perfect graphgan. Plus I’ve just added new video tutorials for both how to c2c and how to color change over on YouTube
