Lion Brand’s Countdown to Xmas is on and I’m thrilled to be included this year. This year they are bringing you 16 AMAZING patterns from some of your favorite designers just in time for the Holidays. You can find the Let’s Stay Home Blanket kit at the link below. You’ll get all the yarn you need, plus a digital copy of the pattern. You can also add on crochet hooks and tapestry needles so you’ll have everything you need to make this cozy blanket.

corner to corner crochet

The Let’s Stay Home Blanket is great for gift making or if you are looking for something cozy to work on this winter. One of my favorite things about winter is having an excuse to stay inside, curl up on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa and crochet. It’s also the perfect way to commemorate the crazy year we have had.

I love using LionBrand’s Pound of Love for blankets because you just can’t beat the cost for how much yarn you get. I used just 2 skeins of Oxford Grey and about half a skein of White. Pound of Love comes in plenty of unique colors so there are numerous color combos to choose from.

If you are new to the corner to corner method you can check out my tutorial about how to corner to corner. There is also another post dedicated just to changing colors so you know exactly how to create the perfect graphgan. Plus I’ve just added new video tutorials for both how to c2c and how to color change over on YouTube.

Below you will find the downloadable graph for the Let’s Stay Home graphgan. If you prefer a written out pattern you can purchase the PDF in my shop. The PDF includes written instructions, two sizes of graphs and a photo tutorial on basic corner to corner technique.

Let’s Stay Home Graphgan

Materials:

Gauge:

5 tiles X 5 tiles = 4” square in corner to corner stitches.

Abbreviations:

ch-chain
dc- double crochet
sl st- slip stitch

Size:

47“X 57”

Notes:

1. Blanket is worked using the corner to corner method.

2. You will increase or decrease at the beginning of each row.

3. If it says to increase at the beginning of the row that is how you will work the first tile.

4. If it says decrease at the beginning of a row, work a decrease, then start as normal working into the ch3 you just slip stitched into.

5. A graph has been provided. Written instructions are available in the ad-free PDF in my shop.

6. The graph is read from the bottom right corner to the top left corner. All even rows are worked right to left and all odd rows are worked left to right.

7. Once you hit the bottom left corner you will decrease on all odd rows and increase on all even rows until you reach the top right corner. From that point on you will decrease at the beginning of every row until the end.

Finishing:

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Enjoy your new holiday graphgan!

I hope you enjoyed this free pattern. Remember you can also find the PDF with written instructions and a larger graph option in my shop, Etsy or Ravelry. Or go grab a complete kit from Lion Brand Yarn.

Happy Crocheting!
